Professor G. Subrahmanyan's illustrious career spans over several decades, marked by significant contributions to academia, administration, and research. Joining the Department of Commerce and Management at Andhra University in 1970, he dedicated himself to excellence in education. Over the years, he held pivotal roles including Dean of Commerce & Management Studies, Chairman of PG Board of Studies, Program Director of MBA, and active participation in various administrative committees such as the UGC Visiting Committee.

His leadership journey continued to flourish as he assumed the esteemed position of Vice Chancellor at GITAM from September 2009 to March 2016, after serving in key administrative capacities at GITM and Raghu Educational Institutions. Beyond administrative duties, Professor Subramanyan made significant strides in academic research, guiding 33 Ph.D. and 3 M.Phil students to successful completion. His scholarly pursuits are evidenced by the publication of 70 research articles in esteemed national and international journals, alongside active participation in numerous seminars and workshops, both as a participant and organizer. Notably, he authored four books, showcasing his expertise in diverse domains.

In addition to his academic and administrative roles, Professor Subramanyan lent his expertise as a consultant in Marketing Management & Tax planning to various units in Visakhapatnam and its surroundings. Throughout his career, Professor Subramanyan's dedication to education, research, and administrative excellence has left an indelible mark, inspiring generations of students and colleagues alike. Currently, he continues to contribute to the academic community as a member of the Managing Committee at Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya College.
